On St. Patrick's Day 30 years ago, my parents got married. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!
Who is this adorable couple? Yup, it's Kathy and Mike, circa 1977!! Aren't they the cutest? My momma is only 16 years old here...aw!

We took mom and dad out to celebrate at one of our favorite restaurants, Brio. Not only is the food amazing, the service is just the best. Our waitress gave Hailey some pizza dough to roll out and make into whatever shape she wanted.
Rick helped her make a donut. The waitress took it to the kitchen, baked it and sprinkled it with cinnamon and sugar and brought it back for Hailey to eat her own handmade appetizer.

30 years of marriage is a major accomplishment these days! It's impressive and encouraging to see a couple stick together through good times and bad. Life is hard, relationships are a lot of work, and it's a testimony to all of us kids to have parents that are honoring their vows no matter what life throws at them. And life has thrown a lot at these two! But God is good and we have a close and loving family as a result of the past 30 years. Mom and Dad, congratulations!

Congrats and happy pearl anniversary to your parents! How fun to have a St. Patrick's Day anniversary! (My parents' anniversary is month later--Apr. 17. It will be year 38 for them).
