| GAK! |
After reading through the instructions, I realized this would be a fun little science lesson for anyone homeschooling too. :)
All you need is Elmer's Glue, Borax, and water. Food coloring makes it fun but isn't necessary. Connor enjoyed being able to pick out what color his slime was though. :) This quite literally came together in 2 minutes! Here's a link to the recipe: http://lilluna.com/homemade-gak-recipe/
Connor has wanted nothing more than to play with this GAK all day. It's nice because the stuff is not at all messy, like Play Doh can be. :) Connor loves running his cars and trucks through it because it makes tracks. He pretends to get stuck in the slime. It's been very fun.

If you can find liquid starch anywhere (it's getting harder and harder to find, because most people don't iron anymore, let alone starch their clothing!), you can mix liquid starch and Elmer's glue to make a silly putty-like substance. We always called it gak. However, borax is probably easier to come by!
