His team toured one of many active volcanoes the other day. Apparently it was very slippery and volcanic rock does a great job scraping many layers of skin off of you:

Now I understand why his team mate referred to the stairs going up to the volcano as the "Stairs of Death"!
Only one more day to survive in Nicaragua...let's hope these are the only battle wounds Nick brings back home. ;-)

I know! Crazy, isn't it? And when we travel together, I'M usually the one tripping and falling on my face! ;-)
