Hair, hats, and other silliness

Since all we do around here is hang out at home, all of my pictures are random. :) News that isn't major, but it's still news:

My mom cut my hair for me. I call it my "Mom 'Do" because every new mom I know has ended up cutting her hair. I kind of wish it was even shorter than this, but she was afraid to cut anymore:

It freaks me out a little seeing pictures of Connor and I because he looks so big! My dad commented that he'll be as tall as me by the time he's 5. Great! ;-)

This is what my hair usually looks like: up! Always up and out of Connor's little fingers. :)

Our friend Kristy made Connor this "Jayne Hat". If you're a fan of Firefly like we are, you'll understand. :)

It's quite big, but that's good because he can wear it for a long time (we hope!)

We call this "The Lip". Connor seldom fusses but when he does, he pullks out this secret weapon: The Lip! He looks so cute, it's hard not to laugh at him. I think this was the first time he got tired of a photo shoot...

The big belly

Talking to Grandpa O on the phone. I missed getting his big smile, but he was smiling and cooing at Grandpa through the phone. It was so adorable!

Connor enjoys having his hair combed and especially liked having a funny spiked 'do.

He's smiling all the time now, and has gotten very talkative. He isn't a very loud baby; he's still very laid back and easy going and happy. It's fun to lay him down to look at a toy or in his mirror and just watch him coo and smile and babble on and on. He fusses or cries only when he's really tired or wet or hungry. It's so easy to read him, we're able to tend to his needs quickly and so we don't have much crying here. Just a content, sweet baby. I am still amazed at what an angel we've been given!

The other big news in Connor's development is that he's sleeping through the night. He has been for a good month now, slowly working his way from 7 to 10 hours straight. These days, we can count on at least 8 hours a night. He surprised me by sleeping 9-10 hours every night for the past 2 weeks. We know how spoiled we are, believe me! :)

Connor still naps well during the day. All this healthy sleep has resulted in a very happy baby who eats well and is so alert during his wake time.

Lounging around on Sunday. Nick is enjoying Connor more and more as he gets bigger and is so responsive. He's looking forward to the day when he can rough house with him. For now, he's content with playing airplane. :)

We started going to a new church on Sunday. It's actually my parents' church and it's smaller than our old church. We enjoyed it very much and I'm hoping to continue attending there. Connor did great. He seemed to love the worship music! :)
