6 Years

Yesterday, Nick and I celebrated 6 years of marriage. Wow! Time has gone by so fast! My parents babysat Connor last weekend so that we could celebrate a little early. We went out to dinner and saw the newest Harry Potter movie. It was by far our longest date and longest stretch of time away from Connor, but it was fun and we really needed a date night!

Connor was very bewildered though. We haven't had a date in a LONG time and Connor looked extremely confused as he watched the two of us get into the car and drive off without him. You could almost see him thinking "Wait, they never go anywhere without me!". :)

We have a lot to celebrate this year. God's gift of our beautiful son and our marriage enduring the most challenging year we've ever had together. We are very thankful for the support and prayers of all our friends and family!

So the traditional gift for the 6th anniversary is candy. The modern gift is iron. Frankly, I like the traditional better. But hey, it's your day, so you choose! :)

I actually did go with candy...it was cheaper and a lot easier to pick out for Nick! :)
