On the Farm
One day we stopped by the farm near our house. There are chickens and goats and pigs and a very nice "Children's Garden". Here is Connor by one of the chicken coops.
It was such a pretty day! Connor loved running up and down the dirt paths and I had to take pictures of the flowers before it gets too cold and everything is dead.
Connor was totally baffled by these horses since they stayed over by their barn and seemed to have no desire to say hello to us. I was a bit baffled too!
Connor found a butterfly on one of these flowers. He also found a lot of grasshoppers hopping all over the place and had a great time chasing them.
What a face! Trying a piece of hay---totally unimpressed! :)
This bin of dirt is supposedly full of worms and other bugs. Children are invited to dig in to see what they can find. We dug and dug and sadly did not find one worm! But Connor still enjoyed playing in the dirt (of course!). :)
You can see the farmer in the background. He was wearing a cowboy hat, which really impressed Connor. He loves cowboy hats. He kept pointing at the farmer and saying in an awestruck voice "Mommy, look he's a real cowboy!". :) The farmer really got a kick out of hearing that. :)
