As some of you may recall, on Facebook I mentioned that my husband Nick has a hard time waiting to give gifts. He's always like this, and gift giving is definitely his #1 love language. We had talked over carefully what to do this year for Connor's birthday (12/23) and Christmas (12/25) given our small budget and the very close proximity of the two celebrations.
Well. I had visions of having a tricycle under the tree on Christmas morning with a big red bow on top, but someone just couldn't wait for that. He couldn't even wait to put any kind of bow on top! :)
It's actually okay. We have other special gifts planned out that are definitely going to be hidden until the special days. :)
Nick was so, so excited for this. It was a little sad when we realized that Connor is just a tad too short to reach the pedals. And this trike was one of the few I found for ages 2 and up.
Well, the good news is that Connor is growing like a weed and will be able to reach these pedals in no time. Maybe even by Christmas. :) Also, he still loves the trike. He pushes it around and adores the seat which opens up and has a compartment to store little toys in.
Connor does sit on it a lot and scoots along. And he continues to try to reach the pedals every time he gets on it. So, we think he'll get the concept and will be pedaling around soon enough.
This was definitely a fun milestone for us. We both have looked forward to the day Connor was old enough to ride a trike. He sees a bicycle anywhere and goes really nuts. We know he wants to ride one!
