Memorial Park

We have a new favorite park nearby called Memorial Park. It's huge with lots of activities. We'll be taking Connor ice skating there this winter, which we're really excited about. But for now, we go to the playgrounds and walk around the lake.

The lake is awesome because it's actually surrounded by soft, white beach-like sand. Connor loves to dig in it!

The playground is new and I am always overly impressed with it. It's just amazing how they make playgrounds these days! Even the swings are new and different:

There are several balance beams to walk on, slides that are enclosed in what looks like a big tree trunk. Steps that are designed as rock formations and a big platform that rocks back and forth like a boat. Even the sandbox has some really neat digging tools:

Many of the park benches are actually swings too! Connor gets a big kick out of that.
